Tonight we used some more of the garlic rolls I made last night and we made Sloppy Bobs. I sauteed some onion and garlic in some olive oil then added 1 small can of tomato paste, 2 cups of tomato sauce and 1 1/2 cups of water, 2 cups red lentils, as well as some soy sauce, brown sugar, chili powder and parsley. While it was cooking, I prepped some red potatoes for some make shift french fries.
Turned out good! I always worry when I make a large quantity of bread that it won’t get eaten up, so I strategically planned the rolls last night with tonight’s dinner. I forgot to pick up a green bell pepper for the Bobs, so I’ll have to remember for next time. Yum!
2 yums up!

Comment by EatPeacePlease March 31, 2006 @ 1:56 pmYum, yum, yum. I freeze bread a lot, then defrost slices or rolls in the microwave.
Comment by Karen Anne March 31, 2006 @ 11:02 pmHow do you make swift french fries? Thanks.
Comment by Anonymous March 31, 2006 @ 11:04 pmI refered to them as make shift because I have an organic brand that we normally keep some extra bags of (Alexia I think?), but we’re out so I sliced up some potatoes and tossed them with some sea salt and olive oil. I tossed them in the oven, but they were more akin to roasted potatoes than french fries. Still tasty, though!
