Where can one find this cappuccino soymilk beverage you speak about? I checked out food fights website and sadly, it was not there, then I trudged to (what feels like the ends of the earth) my nearest "healthfood" store. what a joke that place is..i digress..anyway, your post made me crave one of those drinks! Who makes them, what's the brand? Thanks!!

The roasted baby yams look so tasty and I think I'll give your cheezy chickpeas a try! Loved the survey answers. I agree that all vegannaise is gross; apricot jam is the best; and my mini prep food processor is the best thing in my kitchen!

Thanks for your comment on my blog! I love making connections like these online - finding like minded people who you would never normally have the chance to meet in person.

Anyway, enjoyed your post - I highly recommend Google Reader for keeping track of feeds. It changed my web-surfing life! :) And also: three cheers for tempeh! Delicious in fajitas.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading your list and the squirrel photo at the end is so cute & appropriate. I was set on making your chickpea recipe even before reading it's going with you to the island. I feel the same way, garbanzos pretty much rule the world. And I'm still loving The Damn tasty! :)

This post is making me so hungry! Your food photos are beyond enticing. Mmmm, and then reading your survey, with thoughts of chocolate pumpkin pie and sour patch fruit and all kinds of other goodies... would 1 a.m. be a weird time to go make myself a snack?
Cheers!

I love your recipes. We are not vegan but eat a pretty wide diet that includes vegan meals, veggie meals and meatasaurus type stuff.

I make a fab vegan/veg pea soup. My trick to make it salty and smokey....Dark soy sauce. A good brand. I also saute my carrots, onions, garlic, celery in some EVOO before I add my stock and peas. I also add a dash of white wine, like 1/4 cup or less about 20 minutes before it is done. It is very good with cornbread or potato pancakes with scallions.

I would love to link you to my blog..if that is okay. Passion for food, you have it!

Your food photos all look fabulous! I love surveys too, and have enjoyed reading everyones. I have to agree with you--vegan mayo (or any mayonnaise, actually) is disgusting!

I love surveys (especially since I'm new in this vegan blogger community). Now I know a little more about you.

The cupcake with the puncture wounds is too cute. I'm gonna have to steal that idea for next year.

And that squirrel is too cute! They are friendly, little critters. My friend had some pet squirrels. They had fallen from a tree as little babies and they were going to die, but my friend's family took them in and nursed them back to health for a while. They were so much fun. :)
